SX537 GPS Test Fixture

This is an add-on kit for the Sartech model FC2 screened box, to allow GPS-equipped beacons to be fully tested in operational mode, in accordance with para. 9.2 of IMO Guidelines for EPIRB Testing.

The kit includes a GPS antenna and 20m cable for mounting outside the building with a clear view of the sky.  An amplified signal is fed through to an internal reradiating antenna.  An interlock on the FC2 lid prevents reradiation outside the box, to comply with EU and FCC limits on unauthorised transmissions.
